Add or remove a Kwikset Door Lock using the Xfinity app

Use the Xfinity app to add, pair, and remove your Kwikset door lock. Follow the steps to connect your lock and help keep your home secure.

Before you start

1. Download the Xfinity app.
2. Make sure your Kwikset door lock works with the Xfinity app and supports Zigbee.
   • If you're installing a Kwikset Convert lock, confirm it works with your current door hardware.
3. Install the lock by following the manufacturer steps.
4. If you have more than one lock, pair each lock separately.

Requirements

Before you set up your door lock:

• Activate your Xfinity Gateway.
• Make sure your gateway isn’t in Bridge Mode.
• Use a supported mobile device and operating system.

Add and pair your door lock

1. Sign in to the Xfinity app.
2. Select Home.
3. Select Add smart devices.
4. Choose your Kwikset lock model.
   
5. Tap Get Started.
   
   
   • Based on the model you're activating, the images you see in the app may vary from what is shown here.
6. Complete the checklist. Then, select each box when you're ready.
   
7. Tap Continue to begin pairing.
   
8. Remove the front cover from your door lock.
   
9. Press and release the A button four times. Wait until the lock button lights up on the keypad.
   • This can take up to two minutes. Keep the app open during step. If you leave the app, you may need to start over.
10. When pairing is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message.
    
11. Enter a name for your lock and tap Name Your Device.
    • Choose a name that matches the lock's location, like Front Door or Back Door.
    • You can skip this step and rename the lock later.
      
12. Pairing is complete.
    • Tap Set Notifications to receive lock alerts.
    • Or tap the X to return to the Home tab.
      
13. The Home tab will show your lock status and other connected smart devices.

Remove your door lock

1. Sign in to the Xfinity app with your Xfinity ID.
2. Go to Home.
3. Select the settings icon in the upper-right corner on the lock you want to remove.
4. Scroll down. Then, tap Delete Lock.
