Learn how to organize devices by people and manage Family Settings, including screen time limits, screen time details, schedule pause, pause controls, and safer browsing controls.
WiFi tab
Primary and Manager users can organize connected devices by the people who use them. Once a person is created, you can access more features to manage your home network, including Pause All Devices, schedule pause, screen time limits, screen time details, and Family Settings safer browsing controls. Members will have limited view access.
To create a person/profile:
- Go to the Connected to your WiFi section on the WiFi tab.
- Choose Add a person (press the plus (+) icon to add more people).
- Enter a name and select an icon.
- Tap Add Profile.
Assigned devices
Primary and Manager users can manage a person's assigned devices from the bottom of their page.
To assign a device:
- Under Assigned Devices, select Assign Device.
- Select the checkbox next to the devices you want to assign.
- Select Assign.
- To unassign, select Unassign, choose the trash can icon next to the device, confirm Unassign Device, and select Finish Editing.
Pause all devices
Internet access for devices connected to your home network can be blocked individually or at the person level. Pausing a person will pause internet access on your home network for all of their assigned devices. Only Primary and Manager members can pause or resume a person.
To pause a person:
- Select the person from Connected to your WiFi.
- Select Pause All Devices.
- Choose a time period or pause until you choose to resume.
- To resume, select the person and choose Unpause all devices. If the person is paused under a Downtime schedule, choose Wake up all devices.
Person settings
To access a person's Settings, select the gear icon in the top right corner of a person's page. Only Primary and Manager users can view a person’s settings. Settings include schedule pause, screen time limits, and screen time details where supported, and Family Settings safer browsing controls.
Family Settings
Family Settings help organize people and connected devices, manage screen time, pause WiFi, schedule pause and screen time limits, review screen time details where available, and use safer browsing controls.
Safer browsing controls help reduce the risk of children accessing content that is generally deemed inappropriate.
