Stay connected during network outages

The Xfinity Pro WiFi Extender helps keep your home connected when a network outage occurs. It automatically switches from broadband connection to a 4G LTE cellular connection, so you can stay online. 

During a network outage, internet speeds may be reduced to up to 30 Mbps download and 7 Mbps upload. Actual speeds may vary and aren't guaranteed.

Stay connected during power outages

Add an optional Battery Backup (sold separately) to keep the Pro WiFi Extender running for up to four hours during a power outage when fully charged.

Improve WiFi coverage every day

When there isn’t an outage, the Pro WiFi Extender helps extend the WiFi signal and reduce dead spots throughout your home.

Eligibility

You may be eligible if you:

• Have Xfinity Internet service.
• Subscribe to Xfinity Pro.
• Live in an area covered by the Verizon LTE network.
• Have a compatible Xfinity WiFi Gateway.

Equipment requirements

You need:

• An Xfinity Gateway XB8, XB9, or XB10.
• A gateway that is not in Bridge Mode.

Not compatible with:

• Homes with more than one active Xfinity WiFi Gateway or modem.
• WiFi Ready Apartments.
• Fiber-to-the-unit locations.

WiFi Extender compatibility

• First Generation WiFi Extenders must be removed before you activate the Pro WiFi Extender.
• Second Generation WiFi Extender can remain connected to your home network.
